The purpose of establishing the
Research Center for Volunteering and Welfare (RCVW) is to make the
deep research on the history, status quo and future tendency of
volunteering and social welfare in China and other countries, promote
the development of theoretic research on volunteering and social
welfare, provide governments at all levels with policy recommendation
service, and strengthen the academic exchanges on voluntary service
and social welfare through calling in senior experts with rich social
science background from home and abroad, and taking advantages of
human and information resource of Beijing Universitysity. Subordinated
to the Institute of Political Development & Governance of Beijing
Universitysity.
RCVW is a not-for-profit academic research and
consulting organization, which the director takes in charge of
the routine work under the board of directors. On the basis of
abiding by State law and administrative regulations on academic
organization of Beijing Universitysity, RCVW will conduct academic
research and other activities independently.
